Our Story

Small batch scented soy candles hand made in Mud River - west of Prince George in British Columbia.

I just wanted large candles with beautiful scents, similar to the big box store ones but at a reasonable cost and without all the harsh chemicals.

Hi! I’m Meg! I am an avid snowmobiler, mother, wife, candle creator and in my spare time- a service writer for a motorsports dealership. I’m so happy you found my page and hope you enjoy my candles as much as I do!

I went to a local craft fair looking to replace my super toxic smelly soaps and candles with some that were a little more eco friendly and sustainably made. I found 10+ different soap vendors, but only one or two candle suppliers. The candles I found were beautiful and smelled amazing but were much smaller than I was hoping for - and in a much higher price range than I expected! So I purchased one tiny 4oz candle and headed home with fresh inspiration for a little craft project.

After some research, I decided to make some candles myself on a trial run and if it worked out I would give them as Christmas presents. And that’s when my love for creating small batches of scented soy candles was born! I gave them all away and wanted to make more. Then I had produced a flat of these candles with no way I was going to burn them all myself - so I took to social media to see if there was any interest in distributing them to friends and family. And the entire flat sold out within 5 hours - scents un-smelled! That was when Miller Candles took off and so here we are!
